Eric
Club Members,
Jim went by the site this afternoon. They
were getting ready to mow our runway and pit area. They
suggested that we not enter the field off of the private
drive, but drive around off of the connecting road. You
will see the wind sock from the street and there will be
banners up showing us where to enter and park. A lot of
people are already asking about when we are going to fly.
Do not forget that we are setting up between 10:30 and
11:00. This way we can start flying around 12:00 or
12:30. The word is also getting out that we are going to
have trainers available for the crowd to fly. It goes
without saying that this is a great opportunity for us to
build a lot of buzz around our club and hobby. I look
forward to seeing everyone this weekend.
Thank you,
Club Members,
I wanted to thank everyone that came out
this past Saturday and to those of you that will come to
our event this Saturday. We will start setting up between
10:30 and 11:00. The event starts at 12:00. We still
need to determine how often we will be flying, but we have
plenty of pilots committed to flying. Jim, Andy and Mel
have offered to have planes available to let people from
the crowd fly. I think that this will be a huge success.
I rode by the field last night and it is a little bit
tighter than our field, but we will be able to put on a
good show. We had 27 planes lined up for the static
display as of this past Saturday. I hope that a few more
show up this Saturday. We will be setting the planes on
the ground in the "pit area" that they are setting up for
us. We have been encouraged to bring our families out to
this event. They will be serving BBQ at 6:00. Everyone
needs to plan on coming out and be sure to wear your TCRC
stuff. If you have any questions, feel free to send me an
e-mail or call me at 221-1018.
Thanks,
Eric
