Gentlemen:
The Anderson Balloon Fest took place Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We
participated and had good interest from the attendees. Among them
were about 10 people who expressed interest in joining our
organization. Our exposure was good also. John Skipper, Anderson
County Sheriff came by and visited with us. He supports our club and
his son is going to rejoin the club. The event promoter, Steve
Lambert, was excited about us being there and asked us to exhibit
next year. We had a great location right in the center of the field
of vendors and had about 8 airplanes on display.
My plan is to have us fly for an hour or two on Sunday next year (Firtower
flys on Saturday). Lots of people asked us if we were going to fly.
Norm, George and I held down the fort all three days. John Moll was
there Saturday. Jerry Hanks and Leonard Shinall dropped by Saturday.
Hopefull next year we can get more club members to participate.
