Meeting Minutes

New members: None.

Old Business:

Minutes- A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the June 4, 2009 meeting as previously distributed.
Financial Statements- Neal McGrath presented financial statements for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. The only financial activity for the quarter was $300 of payments for mowing and a $30 refund to Grace LaBrec.
Fun Fly – At the June meeting a number of alternatives for a fun fly were discussed including starting early and having breakfast or starting late in the day and having hot dogs. After the meeting Jim Farley sent an email asking for your input. He only received three responses and no consensus was reached. As a result, Jim suggested that instead of having a Tri-County Fun Fly that we participate in the Curry’s Lake Flyers Fun Fly on July 18-19. 50% of the proceeds from the fun fly will go to the Cancer Society in honor of Bob LaBrec. New Business:

Senior Solutions – Bill Kirkpatrick spoke with the program director at Senior Solutions to see if they had any interest in RC Flying. She was very receptive to the idea of working with the Club to put on some kind of program. The first step will be to donate some old R/C magazines to determine the interest.
Flying Field Work Day. The plastic fencing at the flying field needs to be replaced. We have scheduled a few hours beginning at 8:00am Saturday July 11 to replace the fencing. If you would like to help please be at the field at 8:00 am.
