Meeting Minutes
New Members: None
Old Business:
Minutes- A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the March 5,
2009 meeting.
Financial Statement- Statement of Activity that was prepared by Neil McGrath was
handed out. It showed that the club had a cash balance of $2,592 as of the end of
March.
Oconee Eagles Fun Fly We had to provide the Oconee Eagles with the number of
Club member s that would be attending the fly in . There are 11 members who plan
On attending .
Fun Fly- It was decided to change the club fun fly from April to sometime in June.
The club will discuss final plans at the May meeting.
Snow Birds- The club will have a static display at the Snow Birds air show on May13th
John Solon coordinate the display for the club. John will be contacting club members
Regarding the display.
Anderson University R/C Flying Course- Bill Kirkpatrick, Ken Whitfield and Jim
Farley held the first of three classes at the University. Turn out for the first class was a
little disappointing in numbers. Possible cause for low turn out was the weather as it
Rained hard all afternoon.
Welcome Committee- John Solon reported that he had the club flyers finished and
was going to take some to the hobby shops in Greenville.
New Business:
Bob LaBrec A motion was made and seconded to refund Bob Labrec’s club dues for
2009. A check will be given to Bob’s wife for the amount of the dues.
Gravel- It was mentioned that we needed to put some gravel in the mud holes at the
Entrance to the field. Seems like the county did some work in that area causing some
Holes which become muddy when it rains. Jim Farley said that he would talk to
Tommy Dunn and see if the county could put some gravel in that area.
