Meeting Minutes

New members: One new member was approved, Lewis Franklin.  Please make an effort to introduce yourself to Lewis and welcome him to the Club.

Old Business:

• Minutes- The minutes of the July 1st meeting were read and approved.

• Financial Statements- Neal McGrath reported that as of the end of June the treasury had a balance of approximately $2,300.
• Flying Field Status- No new news on the status of our flying field.  First Quality continues to assure us that they will find a place on their property that will allow us to continue to fly.  Our primary contact with First Quality is Ken Hastings. Bob Wilkerson has invited Tri-County members to fly at the Oconee field and Norm Armbrust welcomed us to fly at the Townville site until we have our own field again.

New Business: There was a brief discussion about our interest in participating in the Anderson BalloonFest and the annual event put on by the Hunt family.  There was a consensus that we should only do one of the events and there was a clear preference for the Hunt event if in fact it is held this year. Details will be discussed at future meetings.

Announcements:

·        Next Meeting- The next meeting will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday September 2nd  at the Anderson County Airport.
