Meeting Minutes

New members:  None.

Old Business:

• Minutes- A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the February 5, 2009 meeting as previously distributed.
• Financial Statements- Neal McGrath reported that the Club treasury had a balance of $2,728 at the end of February.

• Anderson University R/C Flying Course- Doug Davidson of Anderson University now has 10 students signed up for his R/C flying course.  Doug indicated that he still needs someone to help with the building part of his course.  Ken Whitfield will be assisting with the safety aspects of the course.   If you would like to assist, Doug’s phone number is 933-1847.  Doug is a former member of Tri-County and is offering the course on R/C flying as part of the University’s  Life Long Learning Program.  The class will be held on Friday afternoons from 3:00pm -4:30pm beginning February 27^{th – April 17th..}  
• Welcome Committee- John Solon, Chairman of the Welcoming Committee indicated that he would like someone to assist in putting together a flyer to help prospective members become familiar with our club.  Jim Farley indicated that the Club already had a similar document and agreed to update it for John to distribute.

New Business:

• Gold Leader Club – Jim Farley received a letter from the AMA confirming our continuing status as a Gold Leader Club.
• Thank You from the LaBrecs – The Club received a thank you card from Grace LaBrec thanking the club for all we have done to assist the family.
• Fun-Fly – It was tentatively decided to schedule this year’s fun fly for the last week-end in April, which will be Saturday April, 25, 2009.
• Student Night – It was decided that now that we are back on day light savings time we would resume student night on Wednesdays as needed.
• Snow Birds – If the Snow Birds show takes place this year on May 13^th the Club will have a static display at the show.

Safety:  It was suggested and agreed that we would place several signs in the pit area reminding everyone to get a frequency pin before taking their receiver out of their car.

Announcements:

·        Next Meeting- The next meeting will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday April 2^th at the Anderson County Airport.

·        2009 Dues – 2009 dues were due January 1, 2009 and payable now.  Dues for individual and family memberships are still just $30  Please complete the attached renewal form and mail your 2009 dues to the following address:
