Meeting Minutes

New members:  New member Tony Sons was approved.  If you have not already done so, please take the time to introduce yourself to Tony and welcome him to the Club.

Old business:

• A motion was made and seconded to approve the previously distributed minutes of the April 3, meeting.
• Neal McGrath reported that during the month of April the Club had receipts of $225 related to dues from new and existing members and expenditures of $161 primarily related to mowing leaving a balance of $2,837.

New Business:

• It was brought up that the parking area needed to be cut more.  Neal is going to relay the information to our landscaper.
• We are going to fix the white plane table and build two new tables.  George and Neal volunteered to build the new tables.  George is going to build the big table and Neal is going to build one of the smaller tables.
• A work day was scheduled for May 19, 2008 to make repairs on the runway.  Jim Farley and John Moll agreed to bring the materials.  Please make an effort to come if you can.  Work will begin between 9 and 10am.
• The Anderson air show is Wednesday May 7, 2008.  Tri-County will provide a static display and we may get a chance to fly our planes although it is not clear whether the area we have been assigned will be suitable for flying.  The gates open at 1pm and the Snow Birds will fly at 5.  We will be allowed to start setting up at noon so please try to be there around noon.
• We discussed making a group field trip to the WNC Air Museum.  They are located in Hendersonville which is only a little over an hour away.  More details to follow. 

Announcements:

·        Dues for 2008 are now past due.  Anyone that has not paid their 2008 dues by the next meeting will be removed from the roster and will be required to pay the new member fee of $10 plus the annual dues of $30 dollars to be reinstated.  Dues can be remitted to Neal McGrath at the following address:

·        The next meeting will be June 5, 2008.

·        Joe Nall will be held May  14^th – 17^th.  You will be required to sign a release and show your AMA card to enter.  A release form can be obtained on line at www.joenall.com  if you would like to print and sign it in advance.
