Meeting Minutes

New members: There were no new members.

Old Business:

• Minutes- The minutes of the April 1st meeting were approved.

• Financial Statements- Neal McGrath reported that as of the end of April the treasury had a balance of $2,479.

 New Business: There was no new business.

Demonstrations: Bill Kirkpatrick presented a method to make drilling for control horns a little easier.  He suggested putting a piece of double sided tape on the bottom of the control horn allowing you to stick it in place before you drill.

Safety:  Safety Officer, Ken Whitfield, suggested that we turn the safety benches around so that the aircraft will be facing the runway as apposed to the spectator area.  Everyone agreed that this was a good idea.  Ken also noted that there have been a couple of instances where Futaba 2.4 GHz radios have gone into fail safe mode.  In at least one case this has resulted in the loss of an aircraft.

Announcements:

·        Next Meeting- The next meeting will be held at 6:00pm on Thursday June 3rd  at the Anderson County Airport.
