Old business:
• A motion was made and seconded to
approve the minutes of the March 1, 2007
meeting.
•
It
was reported that Neal McGrath had spoken to Robert
Carroll about the
possible use of County land as a future flying
site. Mr. Carroll suggested
that
we
could speak with management of the Civic Center
about using the property across
the
street as
a flying
site but
at this tune the County did not have any other
sites
that would be appropriate. Because of the proximity
of
the Civic Center to
residential and business interest, the
Civic Center did not appear to be a viable site
and was not perused further.

• It was reported that the management
of Anderson Mall had been contacted about
holding the Club's mall show at the Anderson Mall. The
Mall still
requires
a
substantial fee to hold an event there. As a result, it
was concluded to
hold the
Mall show at the same location at Anderson Station as
the prior year.
The
date is
still
to
be determined.
• May
12,
2007 was set as the date to perform maintenance on the
runway.
John
Moll agreed to pursue getting materials donated to do
the repairs. Please make an
effort to come
out
and help.
New Business:
• Neal McGrath reviewed the monthly
and
annual financial statements for
the
month
of
April and year-to-date. A motion
was
made and seconded to approve
the
financial
statements as presented.
• Jerry reminded everyone about
Shaw's no smoking policy on Company property
and
agreed to provide a notice for the bulletin board.
If
you
must
smoke
please
make sure
that the butts are
not left
on
Company grounds, including the flying
field.
•
It
was agreed that we would organize a swap meet later
this
summer.
The
date
is
to be determined.

out
for a great time.
• Dues
for
2007 are now
past due. Dues
for existing
members are $30 and can be
