Meeting Minutes

New members:  None.

Old business:

• Minutes- A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes of the October 2 meeting as previously distributed.
• Financial Statements- Neal McGrath reported that the Club treasury had an ending balance of $2,066 at the end of October.
• Civil Air Patrol (CAP) - At the October, meeting George Estes reported that the CAP was going to begin an R/C aircraft program and had asked for some assistance from Tri-County.  George reported at the November meeting that, for the time being, the CAP has put the R/C program on hold.
• Boy Scouts- Eric Walker reported that one of the local Boy Scout troops was going to be working on aircraft badges and were asking how we might be of assistance.  As a result, John Moll read the requirements to obtain the badge and concluded that the majority of the requirements related to full scale air craft and theory and that while some the requirements could be met by or related to R/C or scale aircraft most were not. As a result, our club may not be able to provide much assistance.  One suggestion was to put them in touch with the CAP.
• Christmas Party - The Christmas party will be held at 6:00pm December 4, 2008 at the Ryan’s on the Hwy 28 bypass. 

New Business:

·        The following new slate of officers were elected effective January 1, 2009 by  unanimous vote:

o       Jim Farley, President

o       Bill Kirkpatrick, Vice President

o       Neal McGrath, Treasurer & Secretary

o       Ken Whitfield, Safety Officer

·        2009 Dues – 2009 dues are due January 1, 2009 and payable now.  Dues for individual and family memberships are still just $30  Please complete the attached renewal form and mail your 2009 dues to the following address:
